Branch Collection
The Town provides curbside residential tree branch collection twice a year, in the spring and fall, for single family and two family residential properties abutting public streets.
This service is intended for branches generated by residents through routine tree pruning and yard maintenance on their property. It is not intended for large scale tree removal or cleanup performed by commercial contractors.
Pre registration is required. Grand Chute Public Works must receive your address and phone number no later than the Friday before your scheduled collection week. Branches that are not pre registered will not be collected.

Collection Schedule
Branch collection services follow the Town’s regular garbage pickup schedule and typically begin on the first Monday of May for the spring collection and the first Monday of September for the fall collection. Branches must be placed at the roadside by 6:00 a.m. on the corresponding Monday.
Branch collection routes are as follows:

Please note that collection will continue throughout the week until all piles along the route have been collected. Collection may take several days and, if necessary, may continue into the following week.
Holidays may affect the day of the week that collection begins.
Rules and Regulations
Single-family and two-family properties abutting public streets may place one (1) branch pile per collection period, per property.
Branches shall not be placed in the right-of-way more than 72 hours before the corresponding Monday of your scheduled collection week, except in the event of a severe weather incident.
Pre-registration is required. Branches that have not been pre-registered will not be collected.
Pile Requirements
Branch piles must not exceed 400 cubic feet and must meet the following requirements:- Maximum height: 4 feet
- Maximum width: 10 feet
- Maximum length: 10 feet
- Individual branches must be at least 3 feet long and no more than 8 feet long
- Individual branches must not exceed 12 inches in diameter or 75 pounds in weight
- Branches must be stacked neatly and loosely along the shoulder or curb of the road
- Cut ends must face the road
The following materials will not be collected:- Root balls
- Stumps
- Construction debris
- Grass clippings
- Thorny brush
- Leaves
- Shrub trimmings
Branch piles that do not comply with any of the regulations listed above will receive a notice affixed to the pile identifying the violation. The entire branch pile will be rejected and will not be collected.
The property owner will be responsible for removing the branch pile within seven (7) calendar days of the date listed on the notice. If the pile is not removed within this timeframe, Town staff will remove the pile, and all associated costs will be billed to the property owner.
In the event that you somehow miss the scheduled pick up, please be aware that there are two alternatives for brush disposal:
Brush may also be taken to the Outagamie County Landfill or the City of Appleton yard waste sites (701 S. Whitman Street and 2625 E. Glendale Street).
