Vacancies - NOTICE OF SOLICITATION OF ALTERNATE BOARD OF REVIEW MEMBERS
The Town of Grand Chute is seeking interested citizens to serve as Alternate Board of Review members in the event of a removal, recusal, or absence of a regular member of the Board of Review. Appointment would be indefinite or until rescinded by the Town Board. Compensation for an alternate member is a $35.00 per diem.
The Board of Review is a local, quasi-judicial body that has duties relating to the valuation of real property for the purpose of taxation. The Board must hear and determine objections to property assessments, add omitted property to the tax roll, and correct errors in assessments.
Alternate members would be on an on-call basis for Board of Review hearings. The Town Clerk shall maintain a list of eligible alternate members.
The Board of Review is governed by the provisions of §70.46 and §70.47
Alternate Board of Review members must be Town of Grand Chute residents. Any interested party should complete the application for appointment and provide any relevant background and qualifications by: July 18, 2025.
