HOLIDAY GARBAGE or RECYCLING COLLECTION
There will be no collection on the day of the holiday; that day's collection and the following days will be offset by one day. Place carts out on your normal collection day to ensure collection.
The Town of Grand Chute observes the following holidays during the year:- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day (July 4)
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
CHRISTMAS TREE PICKUP--
Christmas tree pickup will run for one week only. Place your real Christmas tree curbside on your regular garbage day the week of January 6th, 2025, with the trunk facing the road. Bags, tree covers, lights and ornaments must be removed from tree. Please keep the trees clear of snowbanks. All wreaths can be placed in your garbage bin for disposal.
OVERFLOW PICKUP--
Overflow garbage is collected four times a year by GFL Environmental. Have the bulky items out to the side of the road by 6:00 a.m. the morning of your regular collection day at least 5' away from your garbage cart. A separate truck is used to collect the overflow items, so it may not be collected at the same time as your regular garbage.- Allowable items: Furniture, carpeting (cut into 4-foot rolls), tables, etc.
- Unallowable items: Appliances, electronics, hazardous items, construction materials, recyclable items, yard waste, small items/bagged garbage, etc.
If you would like to schedule a separate overflow pickup outside of the weeks that the Town provides, you can contact GFL Environmental to schedule and pay for the service at (920) 687-2631.
FREE TIRE PICKUP--
Tire collection service is offered by the Town two times a year (Spring and Fall).- Maximum of four tires per household
- No larger than 18" tires
- Rims are acceptable as long as they are attached to the tire
You must call Public Works at 920-832-1581 (voicemails are accepted) or email us at publicworks@grandchutewi.gov with your address, phone number and number of tires to be picked up by the Friday prior to the scheduled start of collection.
