The Town of Grand Chute offers two size options for refuse and recycle carts. A 64-gallon cart holds approximately five (5) standard 13-gallon refuse bags. A 96-gallon cart holds approximately eight (8) standard 13-gallon refuse bags.
The Town of Grand Chute owns and maintains all carts. Carts must remain at the residence where they were originally delivered.
How to start service at a new construction home:
Contact the Public Works Office at
publicworks@grandchutewi.gov or (920) 832-1581 to begin service and schedule cart delivery. You will be asked to select your preferred cart sizes.
We recommend choosing the larger cart if you’re unsure. If you request a size exchange after your initial selection, a fee will be required before delivery.
How to get a larger, replacement, or additional cart:
Each additional cart costs $100 and must be paid prior to delivery. Annual refuse and recycling fees are billed annually with the property tax bill and are not prorated. Additional yearly service charges will be applied based on the number of carts at the property.
If a cart is damaged as a result of normal wear and tear (e.g., a broken lid or wheel), the Town will repair or replace the cart at no charge. If damage is due to misuse/abuse, or is lost/stolen, a $100 replacement fee applies. Call us at (920) 832-1581, or email us at
