The Grand Chute Fire Department offers CPR and first aid classes in conjunction with the American Heart Association.
There is not a regularly scheduled class. Classes are scheduled on a per-group basis.
There is a minimum class size of 4 and a maximum of 14 people per class. We cannot accommodate a group of less than 4 people.

Family & Friends CPR (Adult, Child, and/or Infant)
20-90 minutes long depending on categories requested
This course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children and infants. No certification is provided. There is no cost for this class.
The Heartsaver® courses below are geared for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course-completion card to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Courses can be combined and tailored to your needs.
Heartsaver® CPR/AED (Adult/Child/Infant)
Approximately 3 hours
This course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children and infants. The cost is $25 per person.
Heartsaver® First Aid
Approximately 2.5 hours
This course trains participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. The cost is $25 per person.
Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens
Approximately 1 hour
This course teaches participants who have a reasonable chance of coming into contact with blood-borne pathogens how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. It is designed to meet OSHA requirements for blood-borne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. The cost is $25 per person.
BLS Basic Life Support (CPR/AED Training for Healthcare Professional)
Approximately 4.5 hours for new or 3 hours for renewal
This course is for those working in healthcare that are required to have a course completion card. This is a BLS instructor-led course that teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics. The cost is $10 per person. |
